Sabaar Coat Hanger
Named after the Arabic word for cactus, each peg is removable and can slide forward or further inside to adjust to your needs. The top has a lid so you can store un used pegs inside, or as a secret spot for storing additional small items. The form of the coat hanger is in reference to the architecture of the ancient structures in Palestine with the curved motifs as a direct line to the visual language of furniture design from the region. The many pegs are like the spikes of a cactus, a symbol of Palestinian resilience. The two forms come together to create a visual language that expresses the resilience of a people and honors the visual language of the region.
The coat hanger hangs on by a hardwood cleat. It is recommended to have at minimum one screw in a wall stud, and/or the drywall anchors provided.
